Share the Cheer: Host for the Holidays
University of Alberta International Student and Visiting Services is pleased to announce the Re-Commencement of our Share the Cheer - Host for the Holidays initiative.
The Share the Cheer program provides UAlberta faculty, staff and alumni the opportunity to host UAlberta international students for dinner during the winter break (December 23, 2022 – January 2, 2023) to celebrate and share during the season.
It is a great opportunity to learn about each other's cultures, share in the world of traditions, and give students a personal connection when family and friends are far away. We have had hundreds of hosts, offering thousands of students a place at their tables over the years.
- Hosting is only open to University faculty, staff and alumni.
- Each host is required to invite a minimum of 2 international students between Dec. 23, 2022 and Jan. 2, 2023.
The application deadline for students and hosts is Wed. December 7, 2022.
Hosts will receive matches by December 13th, 2022
Please register early! Spaces in the program are limited and participation is not guaranteed.
