We are excited to introduce our new Program Assistant, Onose Itegboje! Onose began her position with us in January 2023 and will be working with both the Volunteer and Regional portfolios in the Office of Alumni Relations. 

Onose is a recent graduate from our very own University Of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science. “I have always been passionate about volunteerism, it was one of the major ways I was able to understand and make connections with people in my immediate community!”. As an International student, Onose volunteered and participated in events in her community that resonated with her identity as a Nigerian: “It was one of the ways I made myself feel more at home in Canada”. Prior to starting her position with us, Onose worked as a Resident Assistant for the University of Alberta Residence Services. 

In her personal time, Onose loves reading, watching old Nollywood movies and dancing salsa (although she stresses that doesn't mean she's good at it). There is a good chance that you will see her around at one of our upcoming volunteering events - please come by and say hi!
