Who We Are

The ENGG 100 Mentorship program operates under the umbrella of ENGG 100, a first-year engineering course dedicated to student success in the first year of Engineering.

The program was created in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in an effort to support new students during an unprecedented and challenging transition into University studies. The program has continued to this day, with a continued mission to better support new students starting in the faculty by creating opportunities for engagement with recent alumni.

What We Do

In conjunction with ENGG 100: SUCCESS IN ENGINEERING, volunteers work with course instructor Bridget Fraser to participate in online seminar panels, participate in class discussions or answer student questions individually.

Possible topics of discussion include:

  • Discipline Selection
  • Post-Secondary Journey
  • Highlights and Struggles
  • Employment/Career Perspectives
  • Student Health and Well-Being Support
