On February 20, 2026, Shad Canada and U School will welcome grade 10 and 11 students to the University of Alberta North Campus for a day of STEAM and discovery. Futures Day is more than a conference - it’s a day designed to spark curiosity and ignite futures.
Futures Day Opens Doors for Youth:
-Exploring possibilities: Students engage in hands-on workshops and experience postsecondary life
-Building confidence and skills: From coding workshops to designing innovative classrooms, students gain tools, awareness, and inspiration for their futures
-Inclusive opportunities: Explorations of campus spaces like the Steadward Centre ensure every student experiences belonging and possibility
Front-of-House & Registration
- Check-in desk staff: Welcome attendees, distribute name tags, teacher packs, and swag.
- Greeters / Wayfinders: Stationed at entrances and hallways to direct people to rooms.
- Info desk helpers: Answer questions, provide maps, and handle lost-and-found, provide first aid if needed.
