The David Turpin and Suromitra Sanatani Award for Refugees and Displaced Persons is providing financial support to 3 new students for the upcoming academic year. These students are coming to us through WUSC, directly from asylum countries in the Middle East and Africa. Help us to ensure these students feel welcome and have our support as they settle into life on campus and our city.
We are now recruiting volunteers to support each student. UAlberta students, staff, faculty, alumni and Edmonton community members are welcome to apply.
The tentative in-person volunteer training day will be June 14 between 5 pm and 8:30 pm. For more information, please check our website.
